Future:Standard is a San Diego-based online boutique dedicated to clothing and accessories by socially and environmentally responsible companies that also happen to make gorgeous products. I got to meet founder and owner Jessica Althoff at the recent Shop Good Pop-Up Store she created in collaboration with companies like 31 Bits and Sseko. As much as I’d like to be a good citizen of the planet and support ethical fashion, no shame in my game when I tell you I’m more concerned about LOOKING CUTE. And Jess (her stuff and herself!) is about as cute as it gets. So let’s give thanks and glad tidings that people like her are out there, so that style and social responsibility do not have to be mutually exclusive propositions.
